Child Welfare Policy and Process Reengineering

The child welfare agency is the state public child welfare agency responsible for protecting child victims and those at risk of abuse and neglect while also assisting their families.

After the child welfare agency modernized its legacy system, the agency needed to revamp their processes to work within the new model, creating new policies to better serve the needs of the agency and the children and families they serve. Furthermore, the agency needed support in making organizational change to ensure that all stakeholders understand the new processes and policies and are able to implement them.

Agilian was instrumental in providing by-the-book guidance to State government agency’s vision of service. Demonstrating true commitment, we reviewed existing processes with careful attention to detail while designing a roadmap that reflected current and future practices. We established flowcharts, visualizations, and trainers to promote the clear understanding of child welfare agency's objectives going forward, which included documenting clinical practice along with policies, so no stone remained unturned.

Result: The child welfare agency proudly upholds a globally recognized policy model, ensuring that all stakeholders comprehend the expectations for child welfare in the state, thereby furthering their purpose-driven mission.
