Child Support Cloud Transformation Project
The Child Support Division of the State’s Attorney General’s Office is committed to encouraging parental responsibility and self-sufficiency for the benefit of children. By locating parents, establishing paternity, setting support obligations, and aiding with barriers to employment, the agency helps ensure that every child receives financial assistance from parents as part of their efforts to promote a better future.
After years of struggling to modernize its child support systems, the State’s Attorney General’s Office engaged Agilian principals to oversee the modernization of the State Child Support Enforcement System. Our principals provided project management office (PMO), AWS Cloud Implementation, and Quality Assurance services to support the multi-year system modernization effort. Agilian led the implementation of the middleware layer of the architecture responsible for bridging the gap between the Salesforce front-end case management system and the legacy child support system being replaced by the modernized system.
Agilian also led the effort to redesign the website of the State’s Attorney General’s Office by creating a website to reflect the branding, imaging, and messaging of Attorney General (as an independent elected office), distinct from the message and brand of the State government, while still being discoverable through the State’s domain name. The Attorney General’s website redesign project allows the Attorney General to project an independent image while still reinforcing its mission to advocate for the needs of the State and its citizens.
Result: With Agilian’s support, the State’s Attorney General’s Office was able to modernize a 30-year-old mainframe legacy system and secure a middleware layer to serve as the source of truth for all child support enforcement data storage and persistence of the system. The transfer to AWS Cloud resulted in reduced costs, greater flexibility, and data security for the Attorney General’s Office.
